 तेरे आने की कोई मुक़र्रर तारीख़ मालूम नही मुझको, 

फ़िर भी मैं सिद्दत की हद तक तेरा इंतज़ार करता हूँ।

कौन कहता है कि साथ रहना जरुरी होता हैं इश्क़ को, 

मैं तो बस उसके होने के एहसास से भी प्यार करता हूँ।

 नही पता कि वो इस ज़माने में मौजूद हैं भी कि नही,

 कोई होगा 'मुझसा', कहीं इस बात का ऐतबार करता हूँ।

जानता हूँ मैं कि मोहब्बत बस तिज़ारत ही हैं जहां में, 

फ़िर भी मैं दादी के क़िस्सों पर यकीं हर बार करता हूँ।

हरपल दिल से आती हैं सदा कि मेरा इंतज़ार फ़िज़ूल हैं। 

मैं फ़िर भी अपनी रूह के लिए दिल से तक़रार करता हूँ।

 सुना है, इस जहां में नही उस जहां में मिलते हैं रुहानी 

इश्क़ वाले, मैं उस घड़ी का इंतज़ार बार-बार करता हूँ |

 बस ख़्वाबों में ही हुई हैं तुझसे बातें मेरी जान-ए-मन',

 मैं ख़्वाब को ही हक़ीक़त मान तूझसे इज़हार करता हूँ।

लोग कहते हैं ख़्वाब बस ख़्वाब होते है कभी मुक़म्मल

नहीं होते, मैं ख़्वाबों की दुनिया में ही इक़रार करता हूँ।

 इश्क़ एक खूबसूरत सा 'ख़्वाब' हैं, 'इश्क़' वाले देखते हैं।

 मैं अपने हर 'ख़्वाब' को ख़्वाब में ही 'साकार' करता हूँ।

 तिज़ारतें भी होती हैं, हमारे नाम की बोली भी लगती हैं। 

मैं छोड़ जिस्मानी बाज़ारी, रूह को अपना यार करता हूँ।

 कि उसके आने की तारीख़ मालूम नहीं मुझको 'अभि',

 मैं फिर भी उसके बिना भी बस उसी से प्यार करता हूँ।
